My Own Poem 001

#THE_SAME_OLD_PARCEL
Polish its pages,
smoothen the edges,
wrap with silver lining,
make it look appealing,

Adorn with colourful flowers,
and sweet music of lires,
promises are great,
attracting like bait.

crown the look with oxford package
let no chance nor space for leakage.
There it will lie in your cupboard
with its title branded on strawboard,
like a political aspirant's billboard.

Slowly you get on your knees
praying 4 a change in their lives,
that they learn 2 accept the pleas
of the one who paid their price,
made himself the sacrifice
to show the truth in their lies.

But sorry if at the verge of your tries
they seem not 2 change their minds
but rather pledge 2 their desires
never 2 look back nor compromise,
nor come 2 realise
how blindly they'll end up in the fire.

For verily i tell you Christian friends...

however bright the tiles on the aisle,
however fast its reflection may dazzle,
however good the skill may razzle
like streaks of light in a vestibule,

the word of God in the Bible
remains a thing of scorn and ridicule
to men who are vile and insensible.

So when you finally present it to them
as a sweet morsel,
they'll just frown and call it
"THE SAME OLD PARCEL"
